Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, but will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.

A family member advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
