Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, according to.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
